WHILE FINISHES MEAL
LONDON, Sunday. Gandhi kept the United States waiting ten minutes while he finished a frugal meal in the East End tonight. When he was informed that America was waiting to hear the broadcast, he continued eating, and when he finally approached the microphone, he spoke faultless English for thirty minutes. Gandhi's arrival caused amazing interest in the East End. Thousands gathered in the neighbourhood all day.
