MASS MEETINGS OPPOSITION TO SALARY CUTS EXPRESSED AT MEETINGS BREACH OF DECLARATION Rec. Sept. 12, 5 p.m.

By Telephone — 'Post" Special Service. LONDON, Saturday. Five thousand teachers marched in procession to a protest meeting at Kingsway, temporarily blocking traffic in the Strand and Kingsway. Three thousand more attended a further meeting and another 5000 met at Westminister. All passed a resolution that the proposed salary cut is a breach of Mr MacDonald's quality sacrifice declaration. The London Association of Teachers and the School-masters' Association has decided that members will not perform extraneous duties such as organisation of games and ent'e'rtainments.
