AUSTRALIAN MANAGER OPTIMISTIC AS TO CHANCES.
The Australian Rugby team has arrived in Auckland "and all members are fit and well for to-day's first Test game against New Zealand. The manager of the team, Mr. T. Davis, is optimistic regarding the Australian's chances, and in an interviSw stated that he considered the Wallaby forwards could hold the All Blaeks. If they did so, the backs would give a bright display. He added that the team was now fit and was just falling into its combination. The All Blaclcs assembled yesterday for a full practice. After to-day's game the Australians will visit Rotorua over the week-end. The Australian team, is as follows: Fullback. — A. W. Ross. Three-quarters. — W. Hemingway, C. H. Towers, D. L. Cooper, H. Tolhurst. Five-eighths. — J. Steggall. ' Half-back. — S. J. Malcolm. Front Row. — M. R. Blair, E. Bonis, W. H. Cerrutti. . . Middle Row. — M. White, B. Judd. Back Row. — J. Clarlc, T. Perrin, L. J.
