WELLINGTON, Thursday. According to the "Evening Post" fco-night, it is understood that the Government Railways Board has deoided to make substantial reductions m passenger fares in order to meet the ever-growing competition from road services. An official announcement will probably be made by' the Board shortly. It is stated that the fares will probably be brought back to the same level as those ruling before the last increases were made.
