FREMANTLE, Friday. A sensational highway robbery occurred 20 miles outside Fremantle during last night, three robbers stealing £568 from ' Jack Mernovich, a foreign eontractor. Mernovich was motoring home with the cash when he met three men apparently in trouble with their own car. They asked for the loan of a lifting jack, and while Mernovich was looking for it under the seat he was overpowered. He was blindfolded and his hands were tied behind his back.
