LONDON, Thursday. • At the Trades Union Congress at Bristol, Mr Arthur Henderson, Leader of the Labour Opposition in the House oi' Commons, said that his idea of equality of saerifice differed from that of hls colleagues. He had not thought to begin economising with the poorest of the poor ,md therefore said "Let's begin at the other end." He had also suggested that a conversion loan should be in the very forefrorit of the programme. Ile paid a tribute to the glorious exur.ple of Australia. Mr Henderson said he was as 'trong an advocate of Free Trade as myone, but if faced with a large cut 'n the unemployment benefits or a 20 per cent revenue tariff as an emergency expedient, from which the c venue would be assigned to the relief of unemployment, he was going to try the value of that expedient.
