REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES VALUABLE WORK FOR RELIEF OF DISTRESS . i_ JU f ' The monthly committee meeting of the Rotoi'ua Womens' Glub was held in Miss Robinson's rooms on Tuesday, Mrs I. M. Davidson presiding. Before commeneing the business of the meeting the president extended a cordial welcome to the new committee members, and expressed" the hope that the coming year would be a very happy and useful one. Mrs Campny (treasurer) reported that a cheque for £72 6s, being the nett proceeds of the'concert recently given by the Commercial Travellers' Association, had been "received. Accounts amounting to over £24 had been paid during August, . and others amounting to £10 3s*;2d: were passed for payment. The reports of the sewing and benevolent circles showed that help ,had been given to 1-6 families during the last month and that 309 garments had been distributed. Seventy children and as many adults had beeti helped by the club. -Mrs Davidson and Mrs A. L. Richards were appointed the club's representatives on the Central Unemployment Relief Committee.-. ••• It was decided to. hold a concef t at the Sanatorium in about three weeks; and also- to open the club's . activities for 1931-32 with" a s'ocial evening at-the Tea Kiosk on September 15.
