To the Editor.

Sir, — Will you allow me through the medium of jTour paper to suggest to the individual who, by the eommotion he is creating, Has recently acquired a receiving set, that if it is paid for and his own property he burn it and get a decent set or get some instruction immediately on how to manipulate it. I would suggest to him that the tuningrin knob is there for the purpose of locating various stations, not for performing gymnastic exercise on, as has been done for the past week- If he must (as seems evident) keep winding something up, let him get on to the handle of a gramophone. I'm sure he will get more fun out of that than he is getting out .of his set, and not be such a confounded nuisance — Yours, etc. Wm- T. PAKES. .
