SYDNEY, Tuesday. At the Gosford races today there was a sensational smash, five horses coming down. One jockey, Knox, had his collar-bone broken and two others, Leahy and McLeod were injured internally- It is believed that they were trampled upon. Jockey White was stunned but soon recovered. The field was approaching the turn when the leader slipped backward, falling and bringing down four others.
