SAVIDAN WINS
CROSS-COUNTRY TITLE. «S»-; Auckland title holder, J. W. Savidan won the New Zealand crosscountry championship over a 10,000 metres course this afternoon, defeating his team mate, N. F. Cooper, in excellent time. Savidan is the first man to have won the championship' on four occasions. Last year he did not compete in the event owing to. the fact that he was absent in Canada with the New Zealand Empire. Games team. He put up a remarkably fine performance, and the only pity of the race was that last year's title-holder, R-. A. Rose, was not present to try conclusions with hina. Detailed Results.
