ROTORUA RACING CLUB
SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL MEETING. OFFICERS RE-ELECTED. The annual meeting of the Rotorua Racihg Olub was held last evening in the Druids' HalT. Dr. H. Bertram presided over a good attendance of members. . The question of holding another day's race meeting was a question that would Haveto be considered carefully by the incoming exeeutive., stated Dr. Bertram in his presidential address. There are sure to be a number of dates available, but the circumstances surrounding the results of theclub's next race meeting would be a factor in that consideration. The Rotorua club was onp of the few smaller clubs .which had come through last, meeting without a Joss. Whether this would be. the case with the next meeting was a question that no one could answer owing to , the present economic state of the country. The president considered, however, that the Rotorua club.has a better chance with its meeting than many others, owing to the fact that Rotorua was in a somewhat different position from other centres in that it was regarded as a holiday meeting for many visitors. The president referred to the plans the exeeutive has in view for the improvement of the Rotorua course. and, also stated that the financial position of the club could be regarded with general satisfaction. The election of officers resulted as f ollows Patron, H. E, Troutbeok, Esq. ; president, Dr. H. Bertram; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. H. Tripe and W. H. Wackrow; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. W. P.
