There are numbers oi musicians qut of work who would only be too thankful to J°m UP 3/ad take advantage of such a chance — relying on -the subseriptions of the public to augment their basic subsidy. Iwerywhere on the continent— on the Sydney ferry boats and elsewhere music is provided— yet in this, the leading tourist lesort of New Zealand we remain almost dead. Let us dispel this idea that the tourist season lasts only a few months, we can make it last all the year round. A satisfied customer is our best advertisement; not even our greatest optimist can say we are satisfying our customers. A wonderful opportunity awaits us at the present time — our f ellow countrymen cannot alford to go abroad — they want their holiday in New Zealand — they will answer the call of brightness* and sunshine. Let us not be lacking.
