COLTHES AND THE MAN
MR. MacDONALD'S ATTIRE. "TAILOR AND CUTTER" PERTURBED. LONDON, Friday. The "Tailor and Cutter," malcing allowance for the magnitude of the j political crisis, and giving due weight to the sanctity of clothes, says : "One of the surprises of a sensa- ■ tional week, was the appearance of ! Mr. MacDonald in a morning coat and a bowler hat on that fateful Sunday. It was thought that there would be an emergency Government, and the only explanation which can be made so far as the hat is eoncerned, is that it was an. emergency hat. Mr. MacDonald's fall from grace betrayS his inconsistency. The "Morning Post" ' demanded a silk hat, but the unholy, combination of a morning coat and a bowler hat is inexcusable."
