WITNESSES HEARD. , SHEEP OWNERS FEDERATION REPRESENTATIVES.

WELLINGTON, Friday. Special evidence of witnesses who appeared before the inter-party conference yesterday afternoon was continued at this morning's sitting. Mr. 'James Begg presented further evidence on behalf of the Sheep Owners' Federation and he was followed by Mr. H. D. Acland, president of the Fedei-ation, who expressed views sixnilar to those contained in his speech to the annual conference of the Federation this week. He will be recalled at a later date for cross examination. On Monday, evidence will be heard from banking representatives. The principal witnesses will be Mr. W. A. Kiely, chairman of AssociatedBanks, and Sir _ Henry Buckleton, manager of the Bank of New Zealand. The conference has now adjourned until 11 a.m. on Monday.
