LADIES' HOCKEY TEAM
LEAVING FOR AUCKLAND TO-DAY. Departures of special interest this morning will be the Rotorua ladies' hockey team, who will travel to Auckland in quest of the "K" Cup at the Domrnion hockey tournament, commencing to-morrow afternoon. The team will assemble at the railway station about 9.30 a.m., departiug at 10.5 a.m. by the Auckland Express E. Mitchell (captain); G. Rogers (vice-captain) ; M. Black, M. Mitchell, S. Naera, M. Ratema, T. Mitchell, Mrs. Pajttle, O. Benton, J. Chaytor, Rangi Ratema, L. Tanner "(Te Puke), J. Tanner (Te Puke) and T. Morrison. Miss L. Gray was cbosen to make the trip but is not available/ and her place has not been filled. Miss K. Carnachan and Mr. C. J. Casey will accompany the team as chaperon and manager respectively. Although witbout the serkices of two fine players, Miss L. Gray and Mrs. T. Wharekura, who are both unfortunately unable to make the tri]3, it is considered that this year's team is a much strbnger one than has represented Rotorua for some years past, and it is confidently expected that they will give a good account. of themselves in the tournament matches. It ig worthy of notice that the Rotorua ladies have not so far suffersd defeat in representative liiatches this season,
