BRIGHT PARTY. Miss Muriel Cooney was hostess at a very bright and enjoyable party held at her home in Whaka Road, on Wednesday evening. • The dra'wing room was decorated with daffddils and violets while the supper room was fragrant with jonquils. Diiririg the evening the Misses Ailsa ! and Margaret McKenzie played piano- ' forte solos. Recitations were given by Miss Jean Pearce, Miss Verena ; ! Holland, and Mr. Cooney. I Miss Cooney received her guests 1 1 wearing a gown of leaf green figur- i ed georgette while Mrs. Cooney wore ! figured panne velvet. - The guests included : — Mrs. Dannefaerd, who wore floral champagne marocain; Mrs. Holland, black geogette; Mrs. G. Marshall, fawn floral georgette; Mrs. F. Grove, floral velvet; Mrs. Gardner, black velvet; Mrs. Hitchcock, floral crepe de chine; Miss Violet Steele, black crepe de chine; Miss Helena Dannefaerd, sheil pink. georgette; Miss Marie Dannefaerd, ! cyclamen beaded georgette; Miss ! Cherie Holland, primrose silk net; i Miss Verena Holland, powder blue ! figured georgette and coatee to match; Miss N. Holland, charmeuse figured velvet; Miss D. Griffiths, green figured velvet and coatee; Miss V. Griffiths, blue and fawn crepe de chine; Miss C. Moore, black lace; Miss M. 'Ssdaile, leaf green lace; Miss Jean Giesen, rust coloured crepe de chin,e; Miss Smith, blue -figured georgette; Miss J. Spear, geranium georgette; Miss Eunice McDowell, lemon georgette; Miss Ailsa McKenzie, black georgette; Miss M. McKenzie, green embossed georgette; and Miss B. Hetherington, almond green georgette.
