' By Telephone — "Post" Special Service. LISBON, Wednesday. A number of rebels armed with nachine girns and rifles attacked the arracks of an artillery rtgiment. The nagistrate and officers professed to oin the revolt. A regiment of police and the Reublican guard were quickly mobilieed rr.d attacked the barracks in whlch he rebMs were barricaded. After a hort resistance the rebels surrendered md . were taken priseners together with their leader, Senoy S. Diaz. The emainder of the city is quiet. Shops are closed and the strests are xeing patrolled. The Government offices are guarded iy machine guns. Thus far 10 are reporbed to be dead. An aeroplane "•arrying the leaders • of the revolt anded in Spain. Another crashcd in aking iff and its occupants were takm prisoners.*
