TO-DAY'S HOCKEY
RUAHINE v. ROTORUA. SPECTACULAR GAME PROMISED. An interesting match will be provided for followers of ladies' hockey to-day, when the Ruahine (Dannevirke) team will try conclusions with the Rotorua representative team on the Government Grounds at 2.30 p.m. The visitors, who arrived in Rotorua hy car last evening on their way to the Dominion tournament at Auckland, are well known in hockey clreles as a team representing a strong association and in past years have heen well placed in the annual tourneys. Several young players are included in this year's team, and it is thought that they will worthily uphold the high standard set hy their predecessors.
The standard of play of the Rotorua team is well known to followers
of hockey here, and it is confidently expeeted that the team will this year make a better showing in the tournament, than in the past. To-day's game will herefore proyide an excellent indication of the prospects of the two teams in the "K" Cup contests at Auckland next week and some sparkling stickwork can be expeeted.
