ORGANISED RUN ON BANK. DUMMY QUEUE FORMED. SYDNEY, Tuesday. Mr. T. R. Bavin, State National Leader, speaking on the position regarding the Government Savmgs lank, declared that there was an organised attempt some months ago to magnify the run on the Gommonwealth Bank following the closmg of the State Bank. He had definite knowledge that at least 100 men joined a queue on the fateful Saturday mornihg and passed through the Bank and out of .he opposite door, and afterwards 3«ined up with the queue again, repeatmg the performance several times. Mr. Bavin described this as a dastardly attempt to shake the public confidence and intensify the fears aroused by the State Bank crash and was part oi a plan to smash all financial mstitutions.
