A deputation representing the sheep owners of the Dominion waited on Mr Massey to-day to point out the discrepancy in price, 5%d per lbs, paid by the Government to the producers and Is 2y z quoted at Home. A suggestion was made that the Beef Trust was getting' the benefit of the difference in the prices. ,

Mr'Massey read a confidential telegrain to toe imperial authorities covering all the points raised by the deputation, and said that he intended when he arrived in England to make the fullest investigations.

The deputation expressed satisfaction at the steps being taken.
