STOCK SALES. New Zealand Loan and report:—On Monday, in conjunction' with Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., we held a sale of dairy heifers on account of Mr Wm. Pearce, Rangiotu. Notwithstanding the rough weather, there was a good attendance, and all heifers close -to prefit sold well. Best springing heifers £7 to £9 15s, small and backward sorts £5 to £7.
At Rangiotu on Monday we had on a small yarding, the whole of which sold.readily at good values. .Store cows £4 5s to £5 4s, forward cows £6 15s, light fat heifers £7 to £7 cows £7 17s to £9 6s, cows with calves £6 10s, backward heifers £4 6s to £5 17s 6d, springing heifers £6.
Abraham and Williams, Ltd , had fair entries of sheep and cattle at their Marton sale yesterday. Sheep met with good sale, but cattle were hard to quit. Quotations: Wether hoggets 255, ewe hoggets 24s to 265, small mixed hoggets 15s to 19s 4d,. 2 tooth wethers 27s 3d, empty ewes 15s 7d, b.f. hoggets 30s, fat ewes 20s to 35s Bd, tat wethers 35s 6d, spg heifers £7 to £B, forward empty heifers £7 10s, smaller heifers £5 5s to £5 10s, cows in calf £4 12s 6d .to £5, 30 mos.. steers £4 to £5, bulls to £3 7s 6d,
