A hunter is a horse whose owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse has been ridden to hounds during the past season, 1916, to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for a race of £4O or over (hack and hunter races excepted).
