Per Press Association. Christchurch, Aug. 20. The Canteibury J.C. National Meeting concluded to-day in dull and cold weather. There was a large attendance, the “tote” handling £49,387. This makes a total of £l3B 959 for the meeting, an increase of £4363 on last year’s total. Results:— Aylesbury Steeples—l Critic 1; 2 Ikowai 2, 3 Nlta 3, Alep started: 4 Wellwood, 5 Tradiior, 8 Otupai, 6 Kaupokonui, 11 Fairy Finn, 10 Rerekohu, 7 Tairiki, 9 Precious Metal, 12 Debonair. Won by three lengths. Time, 5.11. Debonair, Otupia and Rerekohu fell, and Wellwood lost his rider.

Messrs Hunt Bros. ’ Queen’s Post fell at Cutts’s, the .first fence in the Lincoln Steeplechase and broke her neck. Mr Jas. Bull’s New York changed hands on Saturday, being purchased by Mr Carlisle Ferguson. New York ran in his new owner’s interest in the Lincoln Steeplechase. NEW ZEALAND CUP. WEIGHTS.
