FOOD FIT FOR DOGS. A BRITISH WARNING. London, August 20. Lord Grey has requested America to warn Germany that if, contrary to arrangement, non-commissioned officer prisoners continue to be deprived of recreation and other privileges for refusing to volunteer for work other than that of supervisors, Britain will be compelled to retaliate. He emphasises that the reports of representatives of tne American Embassy show that British prisoners in Germany have meagre rations, which in some instances arc unfit for human consumption. The police, after many people had been injured, seized the rabbits, sold them for six shillings, and arrested the dealers.
