BRITAIN AND SWEDEN.
AN UNFRIENDLY ACT. EXPORT TO SWEDEN PROHIBITED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Aug. 18, noon. London, Aug. 17. The Government has decided to prohibit all exports to Sweden except under the cqost stringent license. The trouble was first brought to a head by a law passed on tbe 17th April prohibiting importers from famishing exporters in the United Kingdom with information regarding the disposal of the imports. Exporters therefore often bad to admit the challenge of the customs being unable to supply this essential information. Britain has, therefore, decided to make exports to Sweden in future dependent on the production ot a guarantee, signed by the importer and endorsed by the Swedish Government that the goods and their product arc not to be re-ex-ported.
