London, Aug. 16. ’ Reports from Vienna state that two important Cabinet meetings were held, yesterday and discussed separate peace with Italy in order to devote all efforts against Russia. AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER. COUNT ANDRASSY APPOINTED. FRENCH PAPERS’ GIBE. Paris, August 10. Newspapers regard the appointment of Count Andrassy as Minister of Foreign Affairs as the unification of the Central Empire’s armies and policies in'German hands. They describe Andrassy as the Kaiser’s clinging swolleu-neaded vassal. NORWEGIAN LINER DAMAGED. EXPLOSION IN ITS ENGINES. GERMANS SUSPECTED., Australian and N.Z. Cable. Copenhagen, August 17. An explosive machine wrecked the engines ,of the Norwegian liner Haakon when journeying from Bremen for cargo towards England. Germans are suspected.
