West of High Wood we captured three hundred yards of hostile trench. CANADIAN WHEAT CROP. SPORT OF AMERICAN SPECULATORS. Received Ang. 18, 10 a.m. New York, Aug. IG. There is indignation in Winnipeg regarding American .reports of damaged Manitoba wheat crop,-which is confined to the South. The yield for the pi’ovince is little below the average and Saskatchewan and Alberta are able to complement it.
