At tbe Wanganui Magistrate’s Court on Monday, before Mr W. Kerr, S.M., the Wanganui County Council (Mr Cohen) applied for an order to compel the destruction of an insanitary dwelling at Ford ell, the property of A. and H. McCailiun which had been,- reported upon by the .Health Inspector, Mr T. Pargeter. Notice had previously been served on the owners, but without avail. The Magistrate made an order for the removal of the dwelling for the ninth, and ordered the defendants to pay the costs in connection with the application. He also pointed out the seriousness of non-compliance with orders of the ,Health Department and local authorities.
