At tho annual meeting of the Australian Jockey Club it was announced that last year the prize money was reduced by nearly £6OOO m order to provide a larger sum for patriotic purposes. It will be further reduced this year, MARTON J.C. SPRING MEETING Owners and trainer are reminded that nominations for all events, including Trial Plate, for the above Club’s Spring Meeting in Wednesday September 6th, close with the secretary at Kartou oir Friday, 18th August, at 0 p.m.
