DISCLOSURES BY OFFICERS
GERMAN INTENTIONS. MAY OFFER TERMS OF PEACE. LEMBERG CERTAIN TO FALL. United Service. Received August 17, 9 a.m, London, August 16. Mr Fyfe, correspondent on the Russian front, states that officers who have been taken prisoner say that the German staff is discussing peace terms and think that failing success by the spring Germany will offer to restore occupied territory and possibly pay an indemnity,- but if the Allies agree Germany would start preparing lor another war. Austria, they say, is onlj now able to hold a far-back defensive line, and the fall of Lemberg is regarded as certain.
