Received August 17, noon, Tokio, August 16, A Russian communique states: We occupied some places west of the Zlotalipa, enemy counter-attacks checking further advance. Our troops are fighting forward between the mouth of the Zlotalipa and the Dneister. Despite desperate resistance we occupied two towns upon the Bystritza. Our pressure on tire Delatyn and Voroksta regions is compelling the enemy to retire westward.
