ON THE POZfERES PLATEAU. IMPORTANT TRENCHES OCCUPIED. ENEMY’S LAST VANTAGE GAINED. Received Aug. 17, 11,0 a.ui. Paris, Aug. Hi. The Petit Parisien states that last night the British reoconpied the trenches north of the Thiepval and Pozieres road, Monquet Farm falling into their hands. The farm is situated on the plateau commanding the Thiepval, Pozieres and Courcellette triangle, and was the enemy’s last vantage point in the neighbourhood.
