ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

Per Press Association. . Auckland, August 14. , An attempt to commit suicide was made by a Syrian who was arrested to-day on warrant of commitment for debt. He was in charge of a constable, and asked leave to use a slot, telephone. While in the telephone box he "prod need a razor which he had in his pocket 3 and drew it across his throat. The man, whose name is Najih Bouzaid, is in a critical condition.
