We understand that a large number of people, recognising that the purchase of Government bonds is a duty as well as a fairly good investment, are applying for them in satisfactory numbers throughout the district. This is as it should he. In the great need of the country for financial aid for the prosecution of the war those who are able to invest should need no urging, to do so. There is plenty of money in the country to make the raising of the apparently big sum of eight millions mere child s play'. As in all other belligerent countries in which large loans are being raised, itr is simply one of the national duties to keep the Government supplied with the necessary funds
