-MARTON CINEMA. Ths programme screened at the Tow n Hall on Saturday evening was enjoyed by a crowded lious®. The ’Topical Gazette proved most interesting, especially at the latter end. when the official war pictures were shown. These pictures were photographed at the actual scene of fighting at great risk to tho operator. They were taken by permission of the militarv authorities of both England and France. The management hope to secure similar films at least once a week, “Charlie Chaplain Shanghaied” was a screaming comic by "the Essanay Co., and although picture patrons are getting “fed up” with the Chaplin films, this one evoked screams of laughter. It would be well to mention that most of the Chaplain pictures are by the Key 1 sone Co., but the Essanay have a lew, and they are of a better class and well worth seeing. The balance of tbe programme was well up to the usual standard. To-morrow night will be screened!!. I ‘The Vampire,” released by the famous Metro Co.
