TONG AN BUSINESS. NOW IN BRITISH HANDS. Per Press Association,. Auckland, August 15. The Star’s correspondent writes that there is great activity in business circles at Tonga in consequence of recent legislation in regard to enemy trading. The Auckland firms of Tyndall and Ross have purchased from the liquidator of a German firm, D.H. and P.G., the whole stocks of the firm atHaapai, Yavau, Niuatoputaba, including many out stations cf firms. This is a big deal though figures of purchase have not transpired. The representative of Burns Philp and Co. takes over the D.H. and P. and G. stocks at Nukualofa, another deal involving a considerable sum of money. The Germans Jiave now quit business and tbe trade is in tire hands of the Briton.
