The Overseas Pailiamentarians, at the conclusion of their visit, presented Mr Balfour with an address of thanks for the magnificent welcome and the unique opportunities, given them to investigate war works. This had inspired them as to Britain’s resolute determination to pursue the war to a conclusive victorySir George Foster said the visitors recognised the Government’s extreme difficulties in the administration of war burdens, and therefoie had not criticised, but heartily sympathised. Mr Balfour, m replying, said the ,visit ! was of momentous importance in the history of the inter-relation of the different parts of Empire. Nothing was more difficult thau to make peoples mutually understand who only read about each other.
