I A BELATED STATEMENT DECLINE IN MORALE. “DiSSATISFACTION WITH AUSTRIANS. Times Cable London, August 11. German official statement of casualties in January totalled 122,540. * Over 20,000 have been killed or died from'wounds. The total casualties during tbe war are 3,135,177. It is reliably stated that recent German losses on the Somme have been much heavier than previously, the lists averaging 50 per cent. Picardy prisoners’ letters reveal that there is growing discouragement aiid a decline in morale. The traditional Bavarian dislike for the Prussians is strongly reviving. There is much German dissatisfaction over the Austrians’ inability to hold the Eastern lines.
