The annual report of Australian Jockey Club states that the stases distributed amounted to £93,934. Patriotic funds received; £14,510. The club proposes to vote a further £IO,OOO and any surplusover £IO,OOO profit for a similar purpose this year. Black Lupiu was scratched for allengagements in the Grand National Meeting yesterday. Wairarapa Racing Club has had ai lift, as the Government is paying £l5O to wards.--the Glut’s building operations, the reason being that the alterations are wanted in connection with the military hospital in use on the grounds.
