In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith stated that there was no intention to legislate debarring nonBritish born from becoming members of the House of Lords, Commons or Privy Councillors Such a proposal would bar General Botha. The House of Commons voted six millions to supplement pension.® Mr Arthur Henderson has resigned his portfolio owing to the stress of his labour work interferihg with his duties as president of the Education Board and wishing to devote ihe whole of his energies to. the adjustment of labour problems. Presumably he stays in the Cabinet.
