STOCK REPORT. The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile reportAt Himatangi on Monday a medium entry of both sheep and cattle came forward and a good sale resulted. All lines were quitted at auction at prices in favour of the vendor. At Palmerston on Thursday there was a good attendance of buyers and all classes of stock met with good competition, practically everycbing being sold under the hammer. We quote:—Himatangi.— Ewes in lamb 12a 2d, forward wethers 11s 7d cull wethers 6s 9d. Cattle; Weaners small 15s to 16a, store cows 20a, forward cows £2 10s, 3-year steers £2 11s to £3, forward heifers £2 10a, cows in calf £2 2s 6d to £2 12s 6d, springing cows £4 15a to £6. Palmerston North. —Sheep: Aged ewes in lamb 10s 7d, forward ewes, 9s 6d to 9a lid, good lambs 7s 8d to 8s 6d, Cattle ; Weaner heifers good 255, weaner steers 25a 6d, fat cows £5, light fat cows £3 15s to £4, store cows 30s to 37b, forward cows £2 10s lo £2 17s, cows in calf £2 10s to £4. Messrs Abraham & Williams report At Palmerston on Thursday we offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. The attendance was large and bidding was very spirited for all classes of stock. Good breeding ewes and good lambs were very keenly competed for. We have to report a total clearance of sheep and cattle at advanced rates. Cattle: Speyed heifers £2 16s, fat and forward heifers £4 14a, fat cows £4 to £5 ss, forward cows £3 Is to £3 Bs, 18-months steers £2 0s 6d to £2 2s od, empty oows £2 to £3 la, weaners 30s to 25s 6d, small weaners 8s 6d to 10s, springing heifers £3los, yearling jheifers 255, • Meaara'Dalgety & Oo. # Ltd., repots having held a very successful clearing sale on account of Mr Wm. Follett, of Porewa. There was a very large attendance of buyers and the dairy stock which was the principal feature of the sale met with very keen demand. Prices; Backward springers £4 to £6, August and September oalvers £8 2s 6d to £9 2b 6d, backward springing heifers £8 7a 6d to £8 15s, yearling heifers to 32s 6d, Jersey bull £4.. The whole herd averaged £6 fin 6d. Sows in pig £3 2s 6d to £3 10s, poultry 2s 6d to 7s 6d per pair. A very large quantity of dairy utensils sold at full market prices.
