NATIONAL DEFENCE LEAGUE.
Press Association. Wanganui, June 10. At a largely attended meeting the local branch of the National Defence League last evening, including a large number of ladies, it was decided to form a woman’s branch and a Red Gross Corps. It was also decided that the citizens of Wanganui provide a championship rifle challenge belt and a team shield to be competed for annually by primary school cadets throughout the Dominion. The meeting was very enthusiastic and a large number of members enrolled.
