A.R.O. GREAT NORTHERN MEETING. THIRt) DAY. Per Press Association. Auckland, June 9. The A.R.O. Meeting concluded today in brilliant weather. There is a good attendance and the course is in first-class order. Results:— Hnnt.Olnb Oup, 3% miles. lor 1, Red MacGregor 2, Boxer 3 Scratched: Pnfcsrurn, Gordon Regel, Mangapapa. The winner . took charge in the straight and won easily by two lengths. Time', Bmin 40seo. Tamabi Te' Arai 1, Tanglefoot 2, Te Kainui 3. Scratched : Red MacGregor. The winner took charge going up the hill the last time, and won, by two lengths'. Time, 4min 40sec. York Welter, one mile.—Ngapuka 1, Sedition 2, Lochbuhie 3. Davenport scratched. Irish Rifle led to the distance, where Ngapuka shot out and won by over a length. Time, Imin 4osec. Winter Steeplechase, 3 miles.—Le Bean 1, Oapitol 2, Sol 3. Also started: Irish. Won by four lengths. Campbell Hurdle , Race, two miles.—Reservoir 1, Newtown 3, Oymri 3. Other starters: Bully, Waione, Waikato and Leo. Won easily. Fitzroy Welter, six furlongs.— Coromandel 1, Castle Blaney 3, Censure 3. Other , starters: Blue Garments, Michaelcff, Explosive, Starboard, Miss Advance, Rimlocb, Plying Soult, Don Quex, Lady Jane, Syrettns, Totika, John. Won by a length. Farewell Handicap. 5 furlongs.— Turbine 1, Santa Rosa 2, Doggerbank 3. Other starsers: Devonport, Foremost, Hohnngatahi, Miscast, Aimwell, La Oigale. Won by a short neck. MEERIWEB DESTROYED, Napier, June 9. The well-known sire Mersiwee, owned by E. J. Watt, was destroyed to-day, on account of paralysis which set in a fortnight ago.
