COOKS AND WAITERS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Jone ,8. A deputation from the Cooks and Waiters’ Conference waited on the Minister of Labour with a request for assistance in am-liorating the lot of workers in their calling Speakers strongly condemned the conditions under which cooks and waiters bad to work. The Minister said the boars mentioned were, to say the least, unreasonable He would lessen them if he could do so. As to the .Condition of workers that was of supreme importance. He had seen in back yards in Wellington conditions siufply revolting.,. The matters would receive the consideration of Cabinet.
