WRASSE’S WEATHER.
“MASSEY TO ARRIVE.”
Per Press Association. Gisborne, May 10. Referring ~to a telegram on sunspots. MrWragge states that between the loth and 24th conditions will be very favourable for earthquake and volcanic action in various portions of the world where the earth’s crust is weak and we may reasonably expect manifestations in New land. For example Ngauruhoe may burst out again and and probably White Island, with other seismic action. The solar conditions form a salient factor combined with the astronomical position of the moon. Before .“Millar” ceases its mnaence on New “Zealand strong southwesters with heavy squalls and areas of rough seas will be experienced on the South-west coast. Later on as the rear half of “Millar” sweeps on towards west longtitude the east coast will probably experience strong winds and swell from the south-west inclined to shift to the south-east. A new Antarctic disturbance “ Massey is now over the upper forties south from the Australian Bight ana will afieot New Zealand as far as can at present bo calculated between the 17th and 23rd.
