FOOTBALL.

FEILDING SENIORS v OLD BOYS.

The, game was played at gFeikling on Saturday, and resulted in a win for Feildiug by IS to 3. The Old Boys won the toss and elected to piay with their backs to the son. The first half of the game was lively aud full of interest. Mexted for Feildiug scored the first try, -which Hughes converted. After some good passing in which the ball changed hands four times, Fraser secured it aud, scored a try. The place kick proved too difficult. Except for the Feilding scores tip to half time the game appeared to be evenly contested, and in tha scrums the Old Boys had the best of it but the back division of the Feilding team was somewhat smarter. Just before half time Dunn, for the Old Boys, made an opening, passed to Godfrey, who grounded the bail close to the post. The kick at goal was a failure. During the second spell some rain having fallen, the ground was slippery aud the bail greasy, aud probably as a consequence neither team appeared to piay with as much dash as in the first spell. The next score was made through Ongley picking up the ball and cleverly passing to Price, and the latter managed to cross the line close to touch; Hughes by a brilliant kick converted. Towards the close of the game. Shannon picked up the ball and smartly fell over the line between the posts, and Hughes made a certainty of it. This made the scores: Feilding 18, aud Old Boys 3, which they stood at the finish
