The Judge, in sentencing Holland to two years’ imprisonment for using seditious language at Broken Hill, said: “You are gguilty of a very grave offence, and, committed at the time it was, it was exceptionally grave. , Yon possess an eloquent tongne, and made the worst possible use of it in inciting the people to a state of rebellion. Bnt for the coolness and tact of the police, matters might have been much worse.” /
