Mr Wragge says that the new Antarctic disturbance advised on May 3rd, as southward of Cape Leewiu, travelled rapidly and all New Zealand is quickly coming under its influence and the advancing isobars look decidedly ugly, especially ugly in the vicinity of Cape Farewell. Heavy winds and squall?|may fromibetween N.N.W. and West and S.W. and South, with vicious seas and much rain. Cook’s Straits and the Southern hal* of the Dominion will be most affected in the period between May Bth and 14th, during which time they will fall under the influence of the disturbance which will make things pretty lively, especially south from the fortieth parallel of latitude.
