WRAGGE’S WEATHER.

Nelson, May 7,

Clement Wragge’a atmospheric'disturbance “Miliar” has arrived in Nelson district. Torrential rain fell last night, preceded by heavy showers all the afternoon. The Waiiti river has the highest flood known for years. The district'roads are under water, in places several feet deep. It is expected that considerable damage will be done. No damage is reported so far in{the city. Auckland, May 7.

Mr Wragge says that the new Antarctic disturbance advised on May 3rd, as southward of Cape Leewiu, travelled rapidly and all New Zealand is quickly coming under its influence and the advancing isobars look decidedly ugly, especially ugly in the vicinity of Cape Farewell. Heavy winds and squall?|may fromibetween N.N.W. and West and S.W. and South, with vicious seas and much rain. Cook’s Straits and the Southern hal* of the Dominion will be most affected in the period between May Bth and 14th, during which time they will fall under the influence of the disturbance which will make things pretty lively, especially south from the fortieth parallel of latitude. Wellington very particularly will feel the disturbance.
