STUDENT’S FATAL RESOLVE.
The remarkable suicide of two students, named Schmidt and Laob, of the Technical College, was reported 1 in WiennaTreoently. Lada was an industrious student, but his progress failed to satisfy him, and he resolved to die. His friend decided to share hia fate, ahd both young men went to Marlazell, attended ohnrcb, confessed to a priest, and after writing farewell letters, started for the Purger Alps. Standing in the snow, Lach lodged a revolver bullet in. his bead, death being instantaneous, Schmidt, who .had an old revolver, discharged four shots at his head. > Three took effect, but the student did not die. He became nnoonsoions. but woke up after a few liohrs. On seeing the dead body,of Jiis friend he shouted for help. But no one heard ‘ bis cries, and he lay beside the dead body for three days and three nights. When at last be was discovered his legs were frozen, and he died on being removed to Marlazell.
