On the evidence of Inspector Simms, the following were fined on the charge of continuously failing to prevent' mussel! scale and oodlin moth from spreading in their orchards:—S. J. Teaz, 80s, costs £1 18s; J. Broadbelt, 80s. 28s; O. Seigal, 20a, 43s ; -W. B. Gieson, 20s, 3bs; Annie Bonesa, 10s, 345. Charles Mitchell, who pleaded guilty to a ohargegof.betting with an “infant,” Bernard Hooker, aged 18. on Matron racecourse, was fined £lO and 7s costs.
